Special Event: “Hill Cemetery: What’s Old and What’s New,” Presented by Joe Judd
Hill Cemetery, located on Old Village Rd. in Shelburne Center, is the original burial ground of the town. The site dates from 1768, and is the final resting place for many notable early citizens. The original Shelburne meetinghouse was near this site, which heard the first reading of the Declaration of Independence in Shelburne. In this presentation Joe Judd will discuss the old and new history of Hill Cemetery.
